Idaho Legislature Seeks Bear Lake Refuge Name Change

In a joint memorial the Idaho Legislature asks federal officials to rename the 17,000 acre Bear Lake County wildlife refuge to Bear Lake National Wildlife Refuge. The memorial cites confusion from Bannock National Wildlife Refuge and requests action by the Migratory Bird Conservation Commission and Congress. Gilbert Athay Passes Utah Bar Examinations

Gilbert Athay of Paris Texas, son of Mrs Lauriel Athay and the late Dallas G Athay, was among 15 law graduates who passed the Utah Bar in February. He was sworn in by Chief Justice J Allen Crockett at the Utah Supreme Court and attended a morning swearing in and a district court presentation, followed by a banquet at the Ramada Inn in Salt Lake City with attorneys and their wives.

Favorable Water Outlook From Snow Survey
