Updated sociology book links sports to society trends
SUNY Oswego professor Tim Delaney and Tim Madigan of St John Fisher College publish a second edition of The Sociology of Sports An Introduction by McFarland adding 130 pages. The 459 page text covers youth to professional levels, domestic violence, concussions, gaming and fantasy sports, online gambling, and sportsmanship with ties to popular culture and new topics like junior colleges and Division II III athletics.
