SUNY Oswego students fossil find in New Mexico Hayden Quarry
SUNY Oswego undergraduates Jake Ganpat Reb Katz and Nick Myers mentored by Dr Jennifer Olori spent three weeks at Ghost Ranch New Mexico thanks to a National Geographic Society grant of 19771 exploring microvertebrate fossils from the Late Triassic period. They assisted researchers from Des Moines University and others, discovered tiny jaws and a femur from a carnivorous dinosaur, and will continue analysis and writing for scholarly papers this semester.
