Oswego County Opportunities Gains From Nationwide Block Grant
Congressman John Katko supports the Community Services Block Grant that funds Oswego County Opportunities and a network of about 1100 community action agencies. OCO serves more than 25 000 individuals, directing discretionary funds to local needs to help families reach long term independence. Katko says block grants enable locally driven solutions to poverty and economic stability in central New York.

Oswego County Health Department announced new state Health Department regulations for air conditioner cooling towers and recirculated water systems to prevent Legionnaires disease outbreaks. Owners must register sample inspect by Sept 16, 2015 and report inspections and disinfection to a statewide system. Free Legionella test kits available through October with contact options provided.

Fulton police arrest auto business managers
Fulton police charged Francis Rikhoff 37 with second degree grand larceny and fourth degree conspiracy after a theft from Absolute Auto at 807 S First St. His parents Gerald 68 and Denise 60 were arrested on related counts. Police say the investigation continues with fraud complaints dating 2009 to 2015. Victims urged to contact Investigator Lucas Hollenbeck.
