Oswego Hospital received The Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval after an unannounced four day onsite survey in May. Surveyors reviewed emergency management environment of care infection prevention and control leadership and medication management with staff interviews. The hospital aims to sustain high quality safe patient care under CEO Chuck Gilante and COO Mark Pelletier notes.

Black Violin to launch Unity Tour at SUNY Oswego

Crossover duo Kevin Sylvester and Wil Baptiste known as Black Violin will begin a 20 city Unity Tour with a 7 30 p m show September 20 at SUNY Oswego Waterman Theatre. The pair blend violin and viola with hip hop and classical influences and have worked with Aerosmith and Alicia Keys. Tickets are available at SUNY Oswego box offices online or by phone with parking included.
