Oswego Road Project To Improve Route 104 Traffic
Oswego Town plans an $11 million spring 2016 project on Route 104 from Route 104A near Ontario Orchards to the Oswego city line. Intersections will be rebuilt with vertical changes to improve sight distance and flow while extending sidewalks near SUNY Oswego. Deep ditches will be filled, a closed drainage system added, the road widened to 11 foot lanes with six foot shoulders, tree removals, culvert replacements, and drainage upgrades. DOT funds released by Gov Cuomo support the multi year initiative.

FCSD energy savings exceed original expectations
Fulton City School District plans and energy contract with Siemens Industry Inc surpassed guarantees in year three of an 18 year deal. Savings totaled 316 336 dollars versus 279 273 promised, with solar PV systems at the junior high education center and four elementary schools generating 168 000 kWh last year. District leaders say the program lowers costs and supports instructional spending while panels remain in good condition and projected to produce more in coming years.

Two Injured In Route 481 Rollover Crash
A two car motor vehicle accident reported around 4 30 p m Friday caused a Route 481 rollover and congestion. Fulton State Police Mentor Ambulance and Phoenix Fire Department responded. Two people were taken to Oswego Hospital and the lead agency could not be reached by press time.
