Oswego County taps CGR for wide public safety study
Oswego County lawmakers award a six month contract worth 95000 to the Center for Governmental Research to examine jail overcrowding and county public safety operations. The study will look at the sheriff and DA offices, probation, E-911, fire, EMS, public defender, courts, and other agencies to identify efficiencies and potential new jail needs. It follows rising out of county jail costs and aims to inform long term planning and reduce reliance on out of county detention.
