Mexico Academy and Central School District Superintendent Sean Bruno told the board he is optimistic about the James A. FitzPatrick Nuclear Facility. He noted area officials are responding to a potential closure by Entergy Corp. The plant employs about 600 and could devastate Oswego County and MACS budgets, as it supplies roughly 49 percent of the tax base. Bruno warned of double digit cuts to staff and programs if the plant closes and discussed decommissioning revenues and reassessment impacts.

He faces second degree criminal sale of marijuana third degree rape and third degree criminal sex act. Clifton had initial Aug 28 arrest on first degree course of sexual conduct against a child. Bail set at 20k cash or 40k bond for Aug charges and 10k cash or 20k bond for new charges. Next court date Oct 14 Central Square Village Court.
