Vilsack unveils rural poverty program in Kentucky
U S Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack visits Berea Kentucky to announce a nationwide program to cut rural poverty. The partnership with 26 community development groups will provide 401 million dollars in Community Facilities funds for long term low interest financing for local facilities and services including education health care and infrastructure. Many projects will target Appalachia colonias and the Mississippi Delta.
