My Hometown Banner Project brings Oswego students on display
Oswego SUNY and Oswego City School District launch the My Hometown Banner Project with a May 26 reception at Tyler Art Gallery. The exhibit runs May 26 to June 18 in Tyler Hall, featuring dozens of student works chosen by local jurors. A second exhibition of banners runs June 23 to Aug 23 at Oswego State Downtown, with a free reception on June 23. Banners will be recycled into bags to fund ongoing efforts. Jurors include SUNY Oswego faculty Amy Bartell Barbara Beyerbach and Mindy Ostrow. The project aims to show Oswego as a vibrant creative community and empower students to share personal stories through public art.
