Oswego Speedway preseason testing continues as five time SBS champion Russ Brown posts the week’s fastest lap at 18.702 seconds driving Hedger Fabrication No. 13. Cameron Rowe runs 19.588 as testing extends into Tuesday with opening day set for Saturday featuring the Richie Evans Memorial and multiple feature events.
Fulton driver Jack Patrick describes chassis and suspension changes and a rebuilt motor to restore handling after last year. He aims for wins and a track title this season while opening day at Oswego Speedway features the 61-lap Richie Evans Memorial and other races.
The 60th Budweiser International Classic Weekend at Oswego Speedway introduces a new SBS format for the 25th Bud Light Small-Block Super Classic. Sept. 2 time trials will lock 10 cars into Sundays 75 laps with a Super 6 redraw, plus semifinals and a consolation race for non qualifiers. Three day tickets are available via the speedway box office.
Oswego Speedway invites young race fans ages 5 to 16 to join the free Kids on Track program for 2016. Sign-up forms are available online and at opening day, with weekly giveaways tours and promotions. Admission remains free for fans 16 and under except during Race of Champions and International Classic weekends with a paid adult. Two autograph sessions are planned during Burke's Twin 35s night on June 18 and the August 20 track championship night.
