Oswego County Schools to Test Water for Lead
Eight of Oswego County nine districts will voluntarily test drinking water for lead using EPA guidelines amid safety concerns. Storyteller makes arts in education come alive at Emerson Dillon
Emerson Dillon Middle School sixth and eighth graders were drawn into a hands on Arts in Education presentation by storyteller Christopher Agostino. He wove original stories Greek myth and folktales while using students faces as his canvas. Teachers note design principles and students will build a sketchbook drawing on StoryFaces ideas. The show also explored Native American and ancient Chinese art symbolism and Greek myths about hubris and downfall.

Fulton seniors win state Academic Excellence scholarships
Ten students from Fulton G. Ray Bodley High School earned NYSED Scholarship for Academic Excellence. The statewide program funded 2,000 seniors with 1500 dollars and 6,000 with 500 dollars. Caleb Almet er and David Tallents led with the top award. Donna Aiken Gina Babcock and others received 500 dollar awards.

Community backs APW BackPack effort with meals and funds
Local groups and businesses donated food and money to Altmar-Parish Williamstown BackPack Program. Contributions include 325 dollars, 280 dollars, 450 dollars, 60 dollars, 250 dollars, and 1,700 single serve items plus food.
