Seventh graders Sara Brunell and Shay Altman from Emerson J Dillon Middle School won the sixth to eighth grade category in the Syracuse Chiefs poster contest with themes from Take Me Out to the Ball Game. They were honored on Education Day May 4 at NBT Bank Stadium in Syracuse, receiving Chiefs hats certificates and four game tickets each as their posters were displayed throughout the stadium.
About 1,600 SUNY Oswego graduates will be honored in three Saturday commencement ceremonies held at the Marano Campus Center arena. Rebroadcasts of the 9 AM liberal arts, 1 PM business, and 4 PM education and communications events will air on Time Warner Cable channels 96 and 97.3 and be streamed online, with multiple daily airings May 15 through May 22 and adjusted schedules on May 16.
