OCSD Budget Optimism Hinges On Revenue Uncertainties
OCSD leaders express optimism about the proposed budget while flagging key unknowns. Property taxes are slated at 29.8 million, a 3.5 percent rise, but deemed a placeholder as state aid remains unclear under Cuomo’s budget. PILOTs total 21.7 million, down due to Exelon payments, offset by new PILOTs totaling about 600 thousand. The district plans using 4 million in reserves, with several sports not reinstated yet and further program reviews planned.
