For a fourth year the Oswego County Health Department ran its Strategic National Stockpile Drill with local Girl Scouts. Cookie cases served as medical supplies for potential emergencies. Merchant of death dealer jailed after Las Vegas flight

Frederick W. Wheeden Jr., 38, described as a merchant of death by an Oswego County judge, was sentenced to 10 years in state prison after fleeing to Las Vegas while on pre trial release. He pleaded guilty to third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and second degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia. The judge also imposed a concurrent one year sentence for the paraphernalia charge.
