Constantia man charged with rape
Oswego County deputies charged Joshua J. Taylor, 34, of Constantia with first degree rape and forcible touching after an alleged incident at his residence. The victim report edly fell asleep and woke to find Taylor pulling down pants and having intercourse. Taylor was arraigned and remanded on bail, with a court date set for March 13.

Younger Freezing Code teams sweep Niagara Falls tournament
Oswego’s Younger Freezing Code robotics teams for grades four through eight claimed the top two spots at the Northern New York State Championship in Niagara Falls. The seven-student squad, formed in September as a younger branch of the Oswego high school program, had earlier won first and third at the Central New York VEXIQ Tournament. The teams will compete in Louisville for the VEX World Championships in April, after advancing on a strong performance in a “Crossover” game featuring two bots coordinating to move hex balls and balance on a bridge for extra points.
