Elusive New York inmates hunted through Adirondack woods
Police pursue escaped killers David Sweat and Richard Matt as searchers comb thick North Country forests near Owls Head and a nearby hunting camp. Authorities say the pair may be armed, with more than 1,000 officers continuing the relentless, wide-ranging hunt despite no confirmed sightings. Joyce Mitchell, accused of aiding their escape, remains in custody, with prosecutors detailing how she allegedly hid tools in frozen meat.
