Dr Roger Cook 84 of Oswego Fulton parish died June 7 2016 at Oswego Hospital after a life of faith service and family. Born Feb 13 1932 to Charles and Irene Cook he studied at Andrews University Loma Linda and served in the Navy Medical Corps before settling in Oswego in 1962. He practiced medicine and directed care for local nursing homes while remaining active in the Seventh-day Adventist church. Survived by wife Donna Jenson son Charles Denise Cook daughter Chary Francis Hicks five stepchildren four granddaughters three great grandchildren brother Marvin Cook sister Eleanor Kinney and many nieces and nephews. Memorial service 4 p.m. June 25 Fulton Seventh Day Adventist Church Fulton. Arrangements Nelson Funeral Home.

Thomas Edward Costello 53 of Central Square died June 8 2016 at Oswego Hospital. He was born in Syracuse the son of the late John E and Margaret Anne Costellolino. He worked as a sales representative for Sexauer, acquired by Home Depot, and graduated from F.M. Schools. Survived by brother David John Costello of New York City sisters Suzanne Wood of Massena Joanne Reagan of Marcellus three nieces Alyssa Reagan Marie Wood Agnes Wood and nephew Connor Reagan. Mary Conway Conway Oswego nurse and mayor’s widow dies
Mary Conway 81 of Wilmington North Carolina and Oswego died June 6 2016 in Wilmington. Born January 30 1935 in Oswego she trained as a nurse at Nazareth College Rochester and worked at Oswego Hospital where she met John O Connor Conway whom she married in 1962. Their daughter Ellen Nolan Conway later became Oswego’s first lady as mayor. She returned to Oswego Hospital after her husband’s 1994 death and retired in 2009 as the district’s senior active employee. She moved to North Carolina in 2015 to be with family and enjoyed visits with grandchildren Conway and Louise Kelly. Funeral services were held June 23 2016 at Dain Cullinan Funeral Home Oswego with private burial at St Pauls Cemetery. Memorials to Huntington’s Disease Foundation are requested.

Fulton woman charged with stealing cash from family
State police charged 24 year old Shana L. Hall of Fulton with third degree grand larceny for allegedly stealing $4,000 in cash from two family members. Hall was arraigned in Volney Town Court and remanded to Oswego County Jail on $1500 cash or $3000 bond. She is set to appear again June 20 at 6 p.m.
