New Haven to celebrate Audrey Munson marker dedication
New Haven to dedicate a historic roadside marker honoring Audrey Munson at 2 p.m. June 8 in front of New Haven Cemetery alongside a dedicated headstone. Munson, a famed early 20th century model and silent film actress, died in 1996 and lies in an unmarked grave. The marker notes the William G. Pomeroy Foundation grant and is funded by donations.

Exelon to close two Illinois nuclear plants in 2017

Oswego man charged after 33 bags of heroin found
Investigators from the Oswego County Drug Task Force charged Jason Votra, 40, of Oswego, with third degree possession of a controlled substance after 33 bags of heroin valued at about 660 dollars were found in a vehicle during a traffic stop in Oswego. Votra was arraigned and remanded without bail. he has a court appearance scheduled for Tuesday at 9 a.m. The driver received two traffic tickets. Police urge tips on drug activity via the tip line.
