Fireworks return to Hannibal Firemen Field Days parade and rides
The Hannibal Fire Company hosts its annual Firemen's Field Days with a free parade through Auburn and Cayuga streets, fireworks, rides, and concerts August 18 19 and 20. Local bands Off the Reservation Youthoria and Dirtroad Ruckus perform. a kiddie matinee offers unlimited rides for a set price. a bike raffle funds new equipment. Bluff Point Lighthouse Restored On Valcour Island
State agencies restored Bluff Point Lighthouse on Valcour Island near Plattsburgh in Adirondack Forest Preserve. The 1874 to 1930 beacon, re lit by the Coast Guard in 2005, now operates as a museum run by Clinton County Historical Society with new exhibits and visitor areas opened after the work.
