Oswego Harborfest traffic and pedestrian advisory issued
Oswego Police Department released a Harborfest Weekend advisory urging family oriented conduct and responsible behavior. Open container rules will be enforced with limited exceptions at Breitbeck Park Wrights Landing and Washington Square. fines up to 250 dollars or 15 days in jail. Traffic signs and parking bans will guide drivers. West Bridge Street barricades will restrict northbound traffic from West First to Liberty Street Saturday evening. Lake Street will be closed to vehicles at 6 pm until after fireworks. Sheldon Beach hours and bridge closures also noted.

Central Square Paul V. Moore High School earned the top prize in Oswego County GENIUS Olympiad. Nick Phillips and Dan Boyd secured $2,000 for their school's science department and a solar powered speaker charger, plus a bronze medal at the international event. Amboy 4-H Center Offers Two Summer Programs
Amboy 4-H Environmental Education Center announces two public summer programs in August. On August 11 at 10 a.m. naturalist Pat Carney leads a wet morning hike at Rowell Brook to spot crayfish minnows and insect larvae with safety gear advice. On August 16 at 2 p.m. a salamander woods walk follows a short slide show on native salamanders with log and brook-edge exploration. Oswego Health to Host Career Fair for Nurses
Oswego Health will host a career fair for registered nurses licensed practical nurses certified nursing assistants and graduate nurses from 4 to 7 p.m. on August 5 at Alex's on the Water 24 E First St Oswego. Attendees can learn duties for open Oswego Hospital positions and participate in onsite interviews with openings on all shifts part and full-time.
