Oswego wins state grant for power grid study
Oswego receives a state grant to study a city microgrid that would back up critical services during outages. The plan includes powering the water intake and treatment plants, Oswego Hospital, SUNY Oswego, and other key facilities. New York State Energy Research and Development Authority notes history of weather-related declarations, while Gov. Cuomo frames the effort as a model for public private partnership and energy security.
