Obituary for Gubbi S Sachidanandan of Oswego Melbourne and Houston
Gubbi S Sachidanandan known as Sachi died in Houston on December 23 2015 at 91. He was born in 1924 in Karnataka India and studied at Mysore University and the University of Maryland before teaching psychology at SUNY Oswego from 1961 to 1988. He helped sponsor an NCAA youth program in Oswego County and remained active in Melbourne Florida community affairs. He is survived by his daughters Kamala and Sushila and son Prakash, plus grandchildren, great grand children and siblings. A memorial service was held in Merritt Island Florida with a private service in Houston. Donations may be made to Sachi memorial funds or Oswego College Foundation.

Ruby Lena Smith 95 of Oswego died Friday January 22 2016 at St. Luke’s Health Facility where she lived. Born October 20 1920 to Ruth and Raymond Ivens she was one of four children and lifelong New Haven resident. Survived by three daughters a son adopted son sister and many relatives.
