Supreme Court weighs Obama's immigration plan case
The Supreme Court agreed to review whether President Obama acted with Congress to shield up to 5 million illegal immigrants from deportation and allow work eligibility, a ruling due by late June amid campaign rhetoric. The case centers on the Deferred Action for Parents of Americans program and the broader executive actions on immigration, with Texas leading a multi-state challenge.

Iowa Governor backs anti Cruz vote over ethanol issue
Gov. Terry Branstad said Iowa should oppose Ted Cruz for backing plans to end the federal renewable fuels standard. At a Des Moines area conference he urged farmers and voters to reject Cruz two weeks before the February caucuses, tying his stance to Iowa's agricultural economy. Cruz dismissed the claim, and Donald Trump backed biofuels at the summit, while Rep. Steve King defended Cruz and called Branstad’s move an unendorsment.
