California drought recedes as storms flood state

Officials say 42 percent is drought free, while Southern California remains under drought. Governor Brown's emergency declaration may be revised after winter rains. The Sierra snowpack doubled, reservoirs rose above average, and flood gates opened along the Sacramento River to ease levees.

Boomerang effect vs college debt questioned in new study
Dartmouth and Montana State researchers find that young adults who finish college are more likely to live independently, while those who do not finish face a 40 percent higher risk of moving back with parents.
