Oswego Voters Face Ed Center Sale Proposal Today
Oswego City School District residents go to the polls to decide two propositions authorizing the sale of the Education Center on East First Street and using Capital Reserve funds to renovate two other buildings. Superintendent Dean Goewey says the 1993 three floor, 35,000 square foot office building has outlived its usefulness and unloading it will put a better building back on the tax rolls. He notes a potential buyer was shown the property again last week and expresses optimism the center will be sold, signaling a new page for the district.
