Kenyon to lead Fulton council in 2016
Fir Tom Kenyon was elected Fulton Common Council president at a Jan 1 swearing in. Council members Richie Patrick and Donald R. joined in voting yes, while Jim Myers Jay Foster and Larry Macner voted no. Mayor Woodward cast the deciding vote, choosing Kenyon. Cuomo outlines 2016 tax cut plan for over one million firms
Democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo proposes a two pronged tax cut totaling nearly 300 million dollars aimed at more than a million small businesses. The plan lowers the corporate income tax rate for small firms from 6.5 to 4 percent and expands a personal income tax deduction from 5 percent to 15 percent, with details to be announced January 13 in the State of the State.

Fulton city officials were inaugurated at the first 2016 council meeting. Mayor Ron Woodward Sr. and six councilors were sworn in by Fulton City Court Judge David H. Hawthorne.
