Nonprofit takes over Fulton housing project
A $24 million upgrade plan moves Pathfinder Courts apartments from Fulton Housing Authority to a new not-for-profit entity in 2015. Built in the late 1960s and 70s as state subsidized public housing, funding gaps after subsidies ended forced changes. Upgrades total about $16 million with relocation, asbestos removal, and fees pushing the total, financed largely by state and federal resources. The new model reduces City of Fulton liability if revenues fall short.
