Oswego Bookmobile Receives Entergy Donation for Summer Literacy
Entergy contributed 5000 to Oswego Bookmobile supporting its literacy program. Each July and August the bookmobile visits Oswego neighborhoods giving a free book and snack to every child under 18. Volunteers include literacy specialists, a teacher, a SUNY Oswego graduate assistant, AmeriCorps members, and others who help children pick books at their level. The bookmobile also attends Movie in the Park events and farmers market stops to distribute books. Alison and Maks Van Brocklin are pictured at a stop listening to a story.
