Healthy Highway expansion approved for Oswego County schools
Oswego County Health Committee votes to expand the Health Highway program to all county elementary schools over three years at a total of 90000 dollars funded equally by Oswego County, Oswego Hospital, and the Richard S. Shineman Foundation. The program, launched in 2015, uses traffic metaphors to teach healthy eating and activity and aims to reduce childhood obesity by introducing the language at school and eventually at home.
