Shineman Foundation funds CAC to boost child abuse investigations
Karrie Damm of the Child Advocacy Center of Oswego County announced a $20 grant from the Shineman Foundation to purchase video recording equipment for forensic interviews. The grant supports training by the National Child Advocacy Center and partners with Oswego County District Attorney Gregory Oakes to improve case handling while reducing trauma to child victims. The project will be overseen by a Multi-Disciplinary Team and aimed to begin within six to eight months, enhancing prosecutorial accuracy and victim welfare.
