Parish man charged with burglary and larceny

Trace A. Bond, 31, of Parish, faces second degree burglary and third degree grand larceny charges after allegedly stealing tools and two motorcycles from a Palermo property on Aug. 19. Deputies say he burglarized outbuildings on his own property. Bond was arraigned in Palermo Town Court and remanded on $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond, with court date set for Aug. 29.

Oswego County Summer Stage Band Final Concert

Oswego County Summer Stage Band directed by Stan Gosek performs its final summer concert at Breitbeck Park at 7 p m free to the public. Soloists include Trevor Jorgenson Russ Patrick Redd Swindells Steve Chirello Bill Palange Joe Cortini Jr and Bob Sherwood. Repertoire spans swing bebop Latin jazz and jazz rock. Albion woman and Amboy man charged in meth busts

Early Monday Oswego County drug raids led to multiple felony charges for Rebecca Dana 34 of Albion and Gene L Vincent 34 of Amboy in separate cases. Dana faced second degree criminal possession of a controlled substance third degree unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine and marijuana cultivation allegations plus child welfare endangerment. Vincent faced a meth related charge under a separate warrant. Dana arraigned in Scriba Town Court remanded to Oswego County jail without bail.

Hannibal library faces budget shortfall in May vote

Hannibal Free Library faces a serious budget shortfall as revenues run short of expenses. Library President Jack Pope told the Hannibal Town Board that reserves are dwindling and must be bolstered by a ballot measure. He noted a gap of about seven thousand dollars annually and urged taxpayers to approve a library tax levy increase next May.

Syracuse man sentenced for Granby Walmart larceny

Syracuse native Quentin D. Harrison, 41, pleaded guilty to fourth degree grand larceny for stealing computers valued at more than $2,000 from the Granby Walmart in May 2015. He received a state prison sentence of 1 to 3 years as a second felony offender after arrest by state police in January and an April indictment.
