Oswego softball dominated Pulaski and Phoenix to win the Strike Out Cancer tournament, racing to a 21-0 lead in three innings. Senior Marguerite Dillon blasted a three run homer, a double and a single for six RBIs while the team raised funds totaling at least $500 to $600 for Golisano Children’s Hospital via the More Than A Game Foundation.

Salmon fingerlings arrive for Oswego Net Pen project
Oswego will receive 40,000 Chinook fingerlings at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Oswego Marina east side. Project coordinator Tom Allen said the fingerlings will be held in net pens for weeks to deter predators and acclimate to Oswego River water before releasing them to the lake for three seasons. Another 40,000 fingerlings are released in the river. the stock comes from the Salmon River Fish Hatchery in Altmar.
