For the Kids fundraiser raises over 12000 for CAC Oswego
SUNY Oswego students and community members packed Cheap Seats Sports Bar April 11 for the second annual For the Kids fundraiser hosted by Delta Kappa Kappa Inc. and Oswego State hockey, aiming to support the Child Advocacy Center of Oswego County. The event featured a chicken barbecue, auctions, games, a live band, and an online drive raising funds near 12000, with additional after events and an ice skate series earlier in the year. Organizers Denver Haye and Eli Kim-Swallow led a campaign that surpassed last year, as students plan to mentor younger members to sustain the effort.

Oswego Lions Club heard Melissa Russell and Beth Hallinan discuss Blessings in a Backpack at a meeting. Family Fun Walk for Autism set for Saturday in Oswego
Oswego County Autism Task Force finalizes plans for this year’s Family Fun Walk for Autism. The free event runs 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Leighton School and Wilber Field and Track in Oswego, with a three mile walk, raffles, vendors, balloon animals, face painting, inflatables, and music.
