The Messenger’s rise and fall in Oswego history
A history of The Oswego County Messenger born in 1980 by strikers from The Palladium Times. It details the paper’s 48 hour turn from strike to first edition, its local focus, wider support from Oswego residents, and its closure in 1984. It notes the two competing papers in Oswego and quotes former staffers about the emotional shutdown.
