Page Sand Devils, still smarting from two defeats, set to face St Johns on Sept 25 at St Johns after opening the season Sept 11 under Page stadium lights with a 13-12 loss. Scoring came on a Keisling 10 yard keeper and a 20 yard Bousman run. a Suddeth TD was called back for offsides.

Glen Canyon Rainbow Girls Install New State Officers

Glen Canyon Assembly No 42 installed Phyllis Roberts as worthy advisor on September 13 in the ninth such ceremony for the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls. Roberts, daughter of Mr and Mrs Clyde Roberts, chose as her motto Treasure where your heart is and her four month term theme Consideration of Others with the rainbow symbols ivory and gold and flower ivory camellia. The Page American Legion Auxiliary plans to host Department president Mrs Helen Quimby of Yuma on October 13 at Empire House dinner 6:30 p.m. followed by a meeting at the American Legion Hall. Reservations due by October 10 with Lois Jamison or Reba Burns.

Primary Turn-Out Doggone Good At Page Precinct

The official count of votes cast at the Page Precinct for the Primary Election was 422, announced by precinct inspector M. D. Doc Pulsifer. He noted the community’s population is under 3,000, about half of earlier figures, calling the turnout "doggone good." Harold Thompson of the Glen Canyon Branch, First National Bank of Arizona, reports the Fed Mint will keep 1965 coins bearing the 1964 date to discourage hoarding by collectors.

New Town House Open House Slated for Page Youth Center
