Fourth Liberty Loan Quota Set for Lafayette County
The Fourth Liberty Loan drive in Lafayette County advances with a county mass meeting planned for October 1 at 1 p.m. in the County Court House to outline campaign efforts. Booths open September 28 with saleswomen, volunteers sought September 28–29 and ministers urged to preach patriotic sermons. Local committees led by Mrs. H. M. Faser and County Chairman G. M. Knight coordinate sales, publicity, and donor lists across Oxford and surrounding communities.

Oxford adopts water rate ordinance in 1918
The Oxford Mississippi City Council passes an ordinance fixing water service rates effective October 1 1915 and repealing Ordinance No 113. The new rates set 150 per month for up to 3000 gallons and 25 cents per thousand for 3000 to 10000 gallons and 20 cents for 10000 to 100000 gallons.
