A B Morris Dies. Longtime Oxford Minister 72
A. B. Morris, 72, prominent Lafayette County resident and Primitive Baptist minister, died of indigestion at home in Oxford on Second South Street. Born near Lexington, he served as moderator of Hopewell Association and fought in the Civil War. He married Annet Pyron in 1866 and had nine children, eight surviving. Funeral attendance spanned county, Memphis, and nearby towns.
