A Senate resolution introduced by Senator Lewis calls for government ownership of interstate railroads telegraphs telephones and other essential communications and natural resources. It asserts the United States should own and operate ships water transport and merchant services necessary for national postal and telegraphic systems.
An Agricultural Bulletin explains that cud loss is a sign of illness in cattle. Rumination suspends when animals are out of condition and is not cured by stuffing hay or salt pork. Proper diagnosis and treatment restore digestion and cud chewing as health returns.

Banks, stores, druggists, offices and gins including Bank of Oxford Guaranty Bank and Trust Co J E Neilson Co First National Bank Carter’s Drug Store and Oxford Gin Co will close for the day to permit worship and gratitude.
