Overall Factory Proposed for Oxford by United Overall Co
At a Chamber of Commerce meeting, Mr. Pembroke R. Labuzan of United Overall Co spoke to Oxford business leaders about building an overall factory here. He said payroll would be 750 to 1000 dollars weekly, employing over 100 people initially and doubling capacity once space is found. Seventy machines would start, with more added later, and city requirements are nearly met. The plan would benefit Oxford, which hosts three existing plants for the company.

Prominent Tate County Man Dies In Mississippi
Funeral for Joe Hyde of Loxyhoma Mississippi was held Tuesday with many Oxford attendees. Hyde, about seventy, left a large family of married sons and daughters and was a leading Tate county figure. He settled in America from London at age nineteen and lived most of his life near Tyre Thyatira and Loxyhoma. Burial was at Mt Vernon cemetery near Tyre at three in the afternoon.

Stokes VY Robertson, state revenue agent, would receive about 1.5 million dollars for personal services in fire insurance litigation if the fine exceeding 8 million dollars against 130 companies is enforced and the sum collected. Robertson is paid on a 20 percent fee basis instead of salary. If the entire fine is collected from seized company assets, the fee could rise to around 200 thousand dollars.

Four Die As Amory Hotel Burns In Early Morning Fire
The two story T P A Hotel on Main Street in Amory Mississippi burned at about 3 o'clock this morning. Four men perished trapped inside: T J Marshall of Memphis Tennessee C F Altheide of Evansville Indiana C Prewett a Frisco Railroad newsboy of Kansas City Missouri and an unnamed man who escaped through a rear stairway. The blaze drew thousands as firefighters battled the flames and protected adjacent shops though six plate glass fronts were ruined. The building collapsed within about 30 minutes of the alarm and witnesses recalled a man breaking a window before vanishing.
