A countywide call urges farmers and taxpayers to hear a proposed program to stabilize prices, reduce purchase costs, and boost business across Lafayette. Community meetings are scheduled in multiple towns with speakers including Jim Sanders and Howard McCorkle.
Miss Nettie Waits stayed with her sister Zel ma while Augusta Miller and Mabel Major visited family. A Y P C A program was held and a monthly banner will be awarded to the best group. Several local visits and church services are noted along with a postponed picture show and upcoming Lyceum event. The Hi Y debate, football trip to Tupelo and community notices follow. John G Woolley featured in Temperance notes with a Nov 17 lecture at First Presbyterian. Remains of Homer Anderson returned home for funeral in Pontotoc. Mrs. J A Christian hosted Halloween themed dinner for Sunday School class.
