Dinner in Honor of Mrs Crawford at Country Home

Mrs Walter Sulivan hosted a Thursday dinner at her country home near town honoring her sister Mrs A M Crawford of Memphis. Ford Motor Company reports total 1921 factory output of 1 050 740 cars trucks and tractors with U S retail sales near 1 093 000, topping 1920 by 104 213. The project to drill a test well in Oxford fields has secured new capital and favorable conditions. Experts say prospects are bright and several parties aim to start a second test nearby along the Yoccona River area as geologists report promising indications of oil and gas.

Death of Mr Dave Frierson In Lafayette County

Mr Dave Frierson a respected Lafayette County resident died at home Saturday at about seventy. He had been confined to his room since September after paralysis struck him. Survived by brothers Ben Frierson of Dale Texas and Lynn Frierson of College Hill plus several nieces nephews and many friends. Burial held Sunday at College Hill burying ground with Rev W D Heddleston officiating.

Mrs McGonagill Of Memphis Brought To Oxford For Burial

The remains of Mrs. A. B. McGonagill of Memphis were brought to Oxford today for funeral. She was well known in Oxford after living here for years. She leaves a husband three children and many friends and relatives. Elder W. L. Smith conducted the services.
