Obituary of William Purvis of Lafay ette County

William Purvis born August 26 1831 in Marion County Alabama died recently at an advanced age in Lafay ette County. He married Miss 8S A Cantrell in 1851 and they had ten children, eight living. A Baptist member for about forty years, he belonged to Bethel Baptist church and was laid to rest in Kingdom Cemetery after a service by Learer.
