The county Supervisors formed a new board last week led by president W. J. Lovelady. Members include M. P. Bishop O. A. Hartley J. A. Parks and W. J. Lovelady, each praised for business insight, practical farming, and dedication to road and public improvements.
The ledger lists payments to janitors, prison staff, county attorney Edgar Webster, and the court house water light bill. It notes road and bridge work contracts, repairs, and the board's approval of salaries, with notices on lighting service switch to meter-based rates and plans to offer day current starting April 1, 1912.
The notice states sealed bids will be received until noon on Tuesday February 6 1912 for building a bridge over Baodren Creek on the Oxford and Water Valley road in Yooona River bottom. Bids must include bond double the bid amount with two or more securities. The board may reject all bids and will conduct a public opening of the bid at the office.
