Mrs Sannie H McEwen Dies at 80 in Oxford
Mrs Sannie H McEwen, widow of Dr McEwen, died at her north Oxford home Monday evening at 7. She had been ill for some time and lived in Oxford many years. Funeral services were held at her home Tuesday at 3 o clock with burial at St Peters cemetery. She is survived by a sister ten years her senior and a daughter.

Mrs Macey Green Dies At 70 In Home Of Daughter
Mrs Macey Green aged 70 died Tuesday afternoon at 1 o clock at the home of her daughter Mrs Walter Sullivan. Funeral services were at the home Wednesday and interment followed at Mt Zion that afternoon. She is survived by five daughters and two sons. New Rules Adopted by State Plant Board
Mississippi Agricultural College reports a set of new rules affecting railroads nurseries beekeepers and cane and potato growers. Regulations require notifying the board on nursery stock shipments and impose quarantines on apiaries with diseases and on sales and shipments of bees hives and fixtures. Sugar cane and sweet potato shipments are restricted from disease infected counties and seed sweet potatoes plants and vines sales are regulated. Quarantines extend to several eastern and northern states for pests and the penalties include fines and imprisonment.

In Water Valley Mississippi O P Mackey’s residence in North Water Valley burned yesterday. The blaze started in a stone flue and gained headway before discovery. A neighbor raised the alarm but firemen arrived too late to save the building. Some goods were saved. Insurance partly covered the loss.

Mississippi Farm Products Exchange Charter Filed in Jackson
Publica tion in a local paper of the charter of incorporation of the Mississippi Farm Products Exchange with $25,000 capital. A. G. Smith of the A and M College extension force led the plan toward this stage. Incorporators include J. J. Taylor of Gulfport and G. B. Harper of Fayette. The group aims to operate a central Jackson office and sell cooperatively to farmers by carload, paying agents from a commission. The charter public on Jan 6, with operation soon after approval.
