Porter Dies at 63 in Oxford
James E. Porter a 63 year old Oxford resident died Sunday at 12 55 am after eight months illness He was a traveling salesman for his firm a lifelong resident of Oxford and never married Funeral services were held at his home Monday with interment at the local church pallbearers included Manford Price H A Moore C Ramey E O Davidson and S Wardlaw He is survived by his mother Mrs M Porter sisters Anna Shaw and Mrs F M Stowe of Oxford brothers W and RH Porter of Oxford The Eagle offers condolences to the bereaved
