Mrs. Sarah Timmons, longtime resident on West First Street, died in Indianapolis last Monday. Her remains were sent to Linden for funeral services and interment. She had been ill in town and later lived with her daughter Mrs. Staten Banning in Warren County before moving to Indianapolis to be with her sons John and James.

High School Oratorical Reading Contest Closes Fight
The assembly room program drew a full crowd last Thursday evening as the high school held an oratorical reading contest. Musical numbers by grade and junior quartet opened the event, with Beulah Smith Marie Tulley Miss Bowen Miss French and Lloyd Frazier delivering pieces.
