At 9 02 a m Wednesday a 35 year old Ottawa woman said an unknown person used her bank information to buy a $568 item on the internet. Accidents at 5 55 a m Wednesday on Rock Creek Road a 2016 Jeep Wrangler driven by Janna Sav age 54 Rantoul struck a deer. no injuries.

At 8:58 a.m. Wednesday a cooking fire at 331 E. 11th St. was confined to a container. A passenger vehicle fire occurred at 11:47 p.m. in the Dollar General lot at 305 N. Man Arrested in Chetopa for Park Marijuana Cultivation
U S Attorney reports KBI agents with the Labette County Sheriff and Chetopa Police arrested Joseph Skibo 54 of Chetopa Monday for cultivation of marijuana and firearm possession by a felon. He allegedly tended a marijuana crop on an island in Elmore Park and tried to flee by boat before being captured. Also in the release a Sheridan County ex mail carrier got six months in prison for mail theft and restitution, while James Stephenson 25 pleaded guilty to theft of mail containing cash and gift cards with two years of supervised release. A Colorado man Kenneth Fisher Jr 41 was indicted in Topeka for bank robbery tied to a Manhattan bank he robbed in 2015 and later faced Arkansas charges with eight years in federal prison.
