German authorities say a Turkish man and his American fiancée were arrested on suspicions of planning to bomb U.S. military installations in Heidelberg on the Sept 11 anniversary. Police found 287 pounds of chemicals and five pipe bombs with a Bin Laden image in their Seidelberg apartment. The pair, unnamed, reportedly harbored anti Jewish views. the man worked in a Karlsruhe chemical warehouse and the woman at a Heidelberg U.S. base supermarket. Federal probes connect to Hamburg cell activity, with broader al Qaida links and international warrants for others involved.
