Two Air Force Pave Hawk helicopters crash in Nevada

Two HH60G Pave Hawk helicopters from Nellis Air Force Base crashed early today about 25 miles north of Indian Springs Nevada during a night training mission. Twelve aboard were unaccounted for as officials worked to confirm survivors amid unclear cause whether a collision or crash in rugged terrain.

Hurricane Earl tops apalachee bay area in florida

Earl smeared Florida with near two feet of rain, flooded coastlines and knocked out power to about 20 000 residents. Two Florida fishermen and a South Carolina woman died in storms that also spawned tornadoes from South Carolina to Georgia. Local residents, including Louis and Becky Martin, reported property damage as homes and roads flooded.
